[thelist] urgent advice/help please

Good luck with this Neroli - sounds like a horrible experience.

Regarding the data, I've had problems with recorded CD's before when I've
used multiple sessions to record material. (i.e. recording some data and
leaving the CD open for further recording, then returning and recording some
music on the remaining space).

In this case, I was able to only read certain parts of the CD on certain CD
drives (so it looked as though the information I had recorded earlier had
vanished). I could read everything however on the original writer and on a
CD drive that could handle multiple sessions (I think that's the right
term!). It might therefore be worth trying different CD drives on different
machines.

Apart from that, experimenting with an audio CD I have here, I can see the
.cda tracks in Win2000, which can be handled like files.

All the best
.steve
