I can't imagine that he has total rights to his site. This is sticky,
though. If you've completed the site to a certain extent then I don't know
if you should give it to him. If it's still in those middling stages then he
should probably take it. It's so hard to say and it's not enough money,
really, to get a lawyer (unless you have a friend). I wouldn't give him
source files, though.

I don't know. Icky. Icky. Sorry you're dealing with that -- the dark side of
freelancing.
