although i'm not a frame afficionado, i use it frequently in intranet 
applications.
links or elements with onclick/onchange/onwhatever javascripts can achive a 
high level of functionnality and ergonomy.
i.e. :: context driven specific applications/texboxes/input/ data 
querying/modifing...
