Group finds SOCOG Olympics website discriminatory

---
The Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission has found that the Sydney
Organising Committee for the Olympic Games (SOCOG) has discriminated against a
blind Sydney man by not providing an Olympics website he could access.

Bruce Maguire, 42, has already fought a battle against SOCOG and won, over the
production of a ticket book and souvenir program accessible to visually impaired
people.

SOCOG has now been told to do all that is necessary by September 15 to make its
website accessible to visually impaired people.

If SOCOG does not comply, Mr Maguire will be able to seek compensation from the
Games organising committee.
