hola,
"so what should web designers do".. meaning how should we design. i find the
goal to design for all definitely a desirable, noble, and professional goal
among other things but my guess is that there's not a whole lot you can do
outside of the normal, already-established design standards (such as
contrast, etc.) - at least not without sacrificing something for the other
90% - though with awareness and resource, I'm sure there'd be some solutions
developed to deal with this better.

Still, this all seems to me to be not an issue of accessibility at all
(assuming decent design principles are being utilized).. Though it is an
issue indeed, it isn't one that's confined to the Web - This issue is
prevalent everywhere.. There's print (billboards, magazines, etc.),
television, etc.. I mean, we do have a full spectrum to work with here... ?
