It's fun to be in Canada right now... <G>

For the latest information on the CIRA process,
http://www.cira.ca/en/E31oct.html.

They will not be processing NEW .ca registrations until November 8th.  But,
keep in mind, that they will have 3+ months of new registrations to process
starting that date.  It could take a while before any new .ca domains are
processed.

The registrar I use, is http://domainsatcost.ca.  Good prices, seem to know
what they are doing.

If you have a physical office in Canada, and want to apply under the "old"
process, let me know and I'll try to find the back door. <G>
