[thelist] domain names

There are generally (at least with Network Solutions) three different
contacts (Billing, Admin and Tech) for each domain name. The billing and
maybe the admin should get an email when monies are due. In addition, I
believe that there is a grace period before it is given away just as a
courtesy. You should, however, be proactive if you think it is about to
expire and you haven't heard anything. Go to your registrar's page and look
yourself up and see what they have.

I'm worried now:
if you own a domain name (dot com) that's going to expire, do you get
warned? Or not? If not, it could expire and someone could snatch it away
from you?? how do you deal that?
