This is an old one, but still holds true. 

Who is linking to your site?
Altavista lets you query thusly:
link:wwww.yourdomain.com

returning pages that contain a link to that domain/url
</tip>

Can google do anything similar? It's index is so much better - I know of
a few pages of mine that people have linked to that altavista didn't
turn up.
