and not a bad one, either

assuming you can produce the pdf output on the fly, e.g. from a product
search

then 5 products per pdf page, would that be possible?  how would you
control it if, say, one of the products had an exceptionally long
description?

(you can see where i'm heading with this, i'm thinking of accessing a an
article database where the description is a variable length)

if you could do "whole descriptions" that would be pretty neat

is there an adobe package that does this?  are there perhaps any custom cf
tags (i hope i hope) that can output pdf format?


in the meantime, lauri, you might try

 1) wrapping products in <table>...</table> as some browsers do a page
break for a new table

 2) using page-break-before and page-break-after
