[thelist] Netscape and CSS

Now I understand why people were warning me about the uselessness of
Netscape 4 series browsers with CSS1. At least with the Mac version I
am not sure if this problem also exists for Windows. At first it
seemed to me that CSS was OK on Netscape 4.7 (I didn't see much
difference with 4.72 both seemed to work with the simple CSS I am
doing). HOWEVER, this was until I resized the window. Then all styles
disappeared, for some reason Netscape looses the style sheet when it
redraws. Bullocks!
Anyone have a workaround (other than just using IE)?
I am sure this has been hashed over on this list but Netscape 6
sucks. It is great that it much better at following standards, but it
doesn't feel fun or easy to use. OK, it seems to be much improved in
rendering of CSS (again, at least the simple stuff I am working with)
and does not try to reload when resizing but I wish they just fixed
what was wrong in Netscape 4 and not released this. I find this new
browser so awkward to use (especially since using IE 5 for Mac which
is the best Web browser I have seen yet). For example, it takes twice
as long to launch, the interface is #$%!^, bookmarks take forever to
be revealed and difficult to navigate, etc (though, the classic theme
is a bit of a relief for some of this). I just don't see how they
will compete with IE, it is sad since I used to be such a devotee.
