[thelist] Online Gaming

I was going to suggest that article as well. It's definitely worth tracking
down and reading if you're considering any type of "casino" site.

My feelings on this might sound odd, but I don't think that anyone has
invented anything new in a long, long time. Casino sites were a great idea,
but I think that legislation may catch up with them in the near future.
Also, it's a bit of an "established" service on the web now. You probably
wouldn't look to pornography as a money-making scheme on the web, because
that was cliché several years ago. I think that online gaming sites have
reached the same status. :(

Wired magazine had a pretty exhaustive case study of a gaming startup in an
issue appearing within the past 4 months. Might be worthwhile to check out
Wired.com for the article ...

A business partner and I have been approached to develop an online gaming
site, has anyone done this? I know that it obviously must not be hosted
anywhere that prohibits gambling and monetary transactions must take place
"offshore" but how about developing the site?
