With a new client for whom you're redesigning a site - always have
several (if not all) of their current site printed out and available to
you during meetings. They know their current site like the back of their
hand, and for them it may be their only frame of reference for what
their site can *be* - as the redesigner, you need to be cognizant of
that, and be ready to deal with the evolution or revolution of their
site in terms that the *client* can understand.

I hope that one made sense. The short version is: know your client.
