No, most definitely not white! That way, you'll see all the other 
errors on web pages out there (like Yahoo's main page), as well as 
your own.

I use RGB 97/82/43. It's pleasing to my eyes on my Mac, and boy, do I 
see where people didn't code a background at all, or properly!

(it's also the background for my Eudora messages.)
