I thought I'd looked back through my 'thelist' archive thoroughly, 
but obviously not well enough. I'll install it and have a look at the 
can and cannot lists and make some sort of report for posterity to 
the list.

And, looking over Jay Greenspan's post, perhaps it would have been a 
neat thing to try an install on a mac os x box rather than that noisy 
windows machine. The linux box I have is a laptop, and thankfully, 
quiet - I wonder whether it is possible to install CF on a powerpc? 
Probably not... hmm.
