Pardon me if I don't understand CF (or the particulars of how evolt is
coded), but there's no way in CF to send a different header, such as
"Status: 200 OK" ?

Wow.

I mean, you're not actually sending a different page - you're sending a
"custom 404", right? Because you're sending 404 with the page content people
are supposed to see, aren't you?

Again, I'm not quite sure I understand, so if I don't, don't pay attention
to my ramblings :)

jeff is going to talk to some people at allaire this week and try to see 
if there's anything he can give them in the way of sexual favors so that 
we can get some source for the linux port of CF so that i can hack the 
CF source and have *it* - not apache - (sorry thesite, you guys missed 
some private discussion about things we tried..ask if you want) rewrite 
the 404 error code..
