[thelist] What prog. language to focus on???

Scott,

Actually, I had a meeting with the chair of the CompSci dept this
morning about the possibility of my completing either a BS in CompSci or
in Information Technology both of which I believe encompass the math
aspects you mentioned. Hopefully that will help give me the core
understanding of programming in general that you and several others have
mentioned. And yes, I have noticed that a few of these languages look a
lot alike so I can see how it would be relatively easy learning them
after learning the basics.
