Sure, it's good, until your 'user' decides to finally upgrade to IE8 or
Netscape 10 or whatever and the code no longer works.

I know things will change in the future (always have) but at least I can
make an effort to see which way the wind blows and try to use that to my
advantage.

The end user doesn't give a hoot as to what the code behind it looks like.
If it works for the users, then the code is good.
