	Actually, they work just fine in IE 4+ and Netscape 6 on Windows
(although Netscape 6 has some positively horrible bugs with table background
images). I can't vouch for browsers on "alternative" operating systems,
however. ;)

It's hard to remember, when making blanket statements about browser
capabilities and shortcomings, to qualify those claims according to browser
version and operating system. I know -- I forget to do it all the time
myself. But remembering to do it can minimize confusion, misinformation, and
list noise as others respond to correct or clarify.
