"Any advice from veteran freelancers about turning down clients?"

In my experience, there are people who are so difficult to work with, that
they should be charged more!  Not that I do that, but anyone who wants to
argue with my pricing just isn't worth my time.  These are the same people
who will expect 10 minute turn-arounds on changes, not understand why they
have to pay more 6 months later when they want to change 6 pages, and are
going to be collection problems anyway.  Not worth the headache - and I've
turned down a few.
