[thelist] Dreamweaver deletes my tags

Okay. I looked over the options and unchecked "Fix Invalidly Nested and Unclosed Tags" and "Remove Extra Closing Tags."

The good news is it didn't delete the tags when I opened the file this time. The bad news is DW is still convinced the tags are invalid markup. I guess that I can live with for now.

Thanks,

John
P.S. I was playing with the settings a little more just now and I turned "Fix Invalidly Nested and Unclosed Tags" back on but told it to warn me when it changed things. This time when I opened the file it gave me this:
Line 173 Col 7 : Moved </head> to actual end of head content.
Line 175 Col 22 : Moved <body> to actual beginning of body content.
The net effect is that the tags are still missing, though. Any thoughts?

No templates, I'm (still) using the Brainjar.com pulldown menu (the older
one, not the DOM compliant one, yet). Sounds like the same problem, though.
It seems to delete everything from the last </script> or </style> tag to the
first tag after the <body> tag. It doesn't touch anything that's actually
inside the <head> or <body> tags.

Maybe an obvious option, but have you checked the settings for Dreamweaver?
If you press CTRL-U, then choose HTML rewriting, and uncheck the options
that may be relevant. Just an idea...
