The URLs lead directly to an article though. It might be a headline on the
page that displays it but the actual content that the node describes is an
article. Guess it depends on your own viewpoint.

I prefer LINK over URI because there can't be any confusion aver the
spelling of LINK but <uri> can sometimes look like <url>

I'm just tossing out suggestions. And I wasn't aware that this had been in
use for some time.

That said, its a static file automatically generated (I assume) so there
wouldn't be a that big a deal to offer two versions of it if people wanted
it.

Either way., it would probably be a better idea  to offer the feed in RSS
0.9 format if a new one were going to be offered since there are more tool
available for that format.
