The upgrade to MX is in fact a bugfix. There is almost nothing new to MX,
the product is some sort of plunder (new version declared, bug fix
released). The DocType HTML source is still 4.0 Transitional, so if you need
to adhere strictly to rules, the code must be revised by hand - as you said,
a painful job.

If you have HTML coding skills and the time/desire for going on further, you
probably should switch to DW.
Perhaps it depends also on what kind of sites do you build.
NetObjects Fusion is ideal if you need perfect pixel positioning. Do you
*really* need this ?
If you need liquid sites, then you better forget NOF.
