Or even better, have them type in their country.  No-one wants to have
to look up a code.

(Of course, this is harder to implement.  The backend has to work out
what people mean if they typo.  It also has to accept that many
countries are known by multiple names, eg, do I live in "Britain",
"Great Britain", "UK", "United Kingdom", "the U.K.", "GB", "England" or
what?)
