    Well, that's a warped statistic on its face because it assumes that all
current users of an AOL browser (whatever the version) would upgrade, which
won't happen. And I doubt that AOL will want to absorb the increased
customer service costs associated with supporting what is essentially a
beta-version browser.

<tip type="IE Rendered Source">
    Microsoft's "View Partial Source" accessory [a], which allows you to
view the *rendered* source code of a selected portion of a web page
(including changes made to the page by script), is an excellent tool.
    Well, I kindly borrowed the idea and put it into an IE-only bookmarklet
that allows you to view the entire rendered source code of a page with a
single click. There are two versions: IE 4+ (which shows you the body
element and everything in between) and IE 5+ (which shows you the html
element and everything in between):

IE 4+ version:
javascript:objWin=window.open("","objWin","width=600,height=450,scrollbars=y
es,resizable=yes");objDoc=objWin.document;objDoc.open("text/plain");objDoc.w
rite(document.body.outerHTML);objDoc.close();

IE 5+ version:
javascript:objWin=window.open("","objWin","width=600,height=450,scrollbars=y
es,resizable=yes");objDoc=objWin.document;objDoc.open("text/plain");objDoc.w
rite(document.documentElement.outerHTML);objDoc.close();

    To use either of them, copy an existing favorite from your Favorites
menu and paste the script above as a *single* line into the URL field of the
favorite's properties sheet. You'll probably want to rename the favorite to
something more appropriate than "Copy of ...", but that's up to you. If you
add it to the Links submenu on favorites you can make it readily available
on your Links bar in IE.
