I don't understand. Groove is actually peer-to-peer.
Each workspace is hosted on the local machine 
and replicated to everyone else's. 

We use it for all the projects and it's a standalone app.
I very much endorse it and the latest version (preview)
is better than the original.

Maybe you mean www.eroom.net?
