[thelist] flash and bitmaps

My boss and I were thinking of setting up a test version of our company's 
web site using flash, but because of high amount of graphics (it's geared 
towards professional photographers) we were discussing ways of minimizing 
the file sizes.  This made me to wonder if it is possible to setup bitmaps 
as linked images (as done in html) instead of embedded images.

My thought was to do navigation and text as apart of different scenes in 
the SWF file, and as you move from scene to scene the various jpgs and gifs 
are retrieved from the server.  I don't know how practical this would be. 
But thought it might be worth investigating.
