[thelist] Frames, Javascript and IE 5.5

Hi all,

Can anybody tell me why the following snippet of javascript (which works
with NN 2-6, Mozilla, and IE 3-5) won't work with IE 5.5?

This is used within a function which is called at the onchange of a form
element, in frames[1].frames[0] to change the content of
frames[1].frames[1] (framename).

parent.framename.location = "/dir/page.html";

I can respost with entire function/code/page if necessary, but this is
really messy (inherited, not mine I hasten to add :-) and starting this
way seemed easier.

Thanks,
Katherine

PS - Why, oh why, do these things always crop up on Friday afternoons?

PPS - Please don't lecture me on the evils of using frames - I know.
I've been pushing for a redesign since I started, and while this is just
_one_more_reason_ I do kinda have to fix it, 'cause like this, the site
is totally crippled for IE 5.5 users.
