No, not really. I did some testing (see
http://www.xs4all.nl/~ppk/hreftest/frametesting.html for the pages) and
found that
1) IE 5.5 supports parent.framename.location fine
2) IE 5.0 does NOT support location = 'newpage.html' or location.href =
'newpage.html' !!!
Sorry, I'm out of ideas.
