[thelist] Javascript strings

I am trying to write a script that will dynamically
pull headlines from a newspaper page to post them
somewhere else.  I have written the script, but I
don't know the command that can pull another page's
code as a string or array of strings so that they can
be parsed.  Does anyone know a way to do this?
