[thelist] IIS5 can't find IISSamples, keeps stopping web server

I deleted the IISSamples folder recently (not sure if it was yesterday or a
few days ago; kinda blurry right now)

Apparenly, unbeknownst to me, IIS has been stopping the web server, ftp
server, and various other services because it can't find the files for the
virtual site 'IISSamples'

when i restart it, it just stops again. there is no reference i can find in
the server or default site properties to IISSamples. No answers at
microsoft.com either.

Any ideas?
