running Opera 5.0 build 828... ran through all the options it offers 
for its user agent:

Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.0; Windows NT 5.0) Opera 5.0 [en]
Mozilla/3.0 (Windows NT 5.0; U) Opera 5.0  [en]
Mozilla/4.76 (Windows NT 5.0; U) Opera 5.0  [en]
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.0; U) Opera 5.0  [en]
Opera/5.0 (Windows NT 5.0; U)  [en]

you can see that it always appends Opera 5.0 to the user agent 
string, at least for 5.0 build 828...

btw, folks, this isn't that hard to test... grab Opera, hit a site that 
reports it or check your own logs...
