Hi all,

<JS NEWBIE ALERT!>

Is there a cross browser compatible way opening a modal window? A friend
sent me this:

<a onmouseover="this.style.cursor='hand';"
onclick="javascript:window.showModalDialog('gallery/gt.htm','GT','dialogWidt
h=204px;dialogHeight=177px;center=yes;help=no;scroll=no;status=no;');">

Which is great, except it only works in IE4+, fine for him as he is
developing exclusively for IE users. Whats the best method for the rest of
us to use?
