Our situation is this:

We're receiving cd album covers (graphics) from our vendor.. and *those*
aren't optimized... and we also are having to make thumbnails of them as
well. On Friday I was able to cut our front page load time in half simply
by creating thumbnails instead of having the html resize the larger
graphics.. ugh it was nasty. I'm cleaning up 1995 html code.. and the guys
here are all drooling all over it eheh. I almost have them wrapped around
my lil finger.

I'm guessing this point would be just to set an automated job up between one
of the mentioned softwares and photoshop.. and just pay close attention to
their output.

Thanks for all of the tid-bits and help.
