It is the HTML source code that is being displayed, yes.

Could you expand on your point a bit? For instance, what in the HTTP headers
would cause this for NN only?

It is definitely related to the server, though, and I suspect HTTP headers.
And is occurring on ALL .html files, some of which have no js called from
the header or anywhere else.

I'm not getting any response yet from our host, so it seems I am stuck
detecting the problem on my own.
