[thelist] CSS active link

Good morning members,

I'm working on a css file and I am trying to get rid of the decoration on
the active link.  I thought that A:Active {text-decoration: none;} would
take care of it but I seem to be mistaken. Since I'm nowhere near a css
beginner, I was wondering if someone can point me in the right direction to
remove the decoration totally.

I have removed the decoration for mouse over using

A:Hover {text-decoration: none; color: red;}
