Because it bugged the hell out of me for weeks.

<tip type="IIS 4 and SMTP Service">

The SMTP service in IIS4 can't be reliably used for 
relaying mail generated by Outlook 2000.  Somewhere 
along the line the 'To:' field gets mangled and
the receiving server says 'bugger off, no recipient'.

Then, between 1 and 6 hours later, after holding
the mail in its queue, IIS tries again and succeeds.
Or fails, badmails the message, and doesn't tell 
anyone.

You probably want to avoid the FTP service too,
but that's already very well documented.
