Used TrueSpace4 for a year and a half. Got REALLY tired of the lack of a
4-pane design view, which is standard issue on other high-falootin'
modeling packages. Although they've added the 4-pane view to TrueSpace5,
the modeling animation tools still leave something to be desired.
Basically, the price says it all...a true case of "you get what you pay
for".

I usually ended up drooling over my co-worker's suite of Lightwave (with
the Messiah animation plugin) and FormZ.
