Well, I wouldn't say that. Those poodle-packing upper east-side princesses
aren't exactly throwing their money away these days. there's still rich people
in NY, but there's also a whole lot more homeless people on the streets and
subways and I'm willing to bet that at least a few of them once considered
themselves part of the web industry. most of the those people had money before
the boom, and will have it even if the country slides into a Depression.
