Made a brand new file extension for your web app, and want
to integrate it into HTML-Kit properly? (Colourising,
recognizing file extension, etc.)

For the purpose of this tip, I'll pretend I'm adding
.template as a new php type.

First of all, open preferences (edit > preferences), then
go to the file types tab. Under all web documents add
";*.template" (no quotes, of course). Then scroll down to
the php file types, and add the same once again.

Next, still under the file types tab, click on the
"colorized file types..." tab, and add ";template" in the
PHP row.

Lastly, if you use HTML-Kit's FTP, go to the workspace tab,
and under transfer mode add ";template" to the end.

HTML-Kit is ready to edit your files!

If you've gone to the HTML-Kit plugins page
(http://www.chami.com/htmlkit/plugins), and downloaded the
keyword references for HTML and CSS, no doubt you're bugged
by having to select to use the local references instead of
the online ones from the menu each time you need to check
something.

The remedy is quite simple. Under preferences (edit >
preferences), click on the help tab, and check the "Use
only local keyword help files" box. No more menu to choose
from!
