hey all,

this question has been nagging at me for a while, so i decided to finally 
approach the group:

my question is this: If I test a page on Win2k / IE 5 (for example), to 
what extent can I expect the results to be representative of the other win 
platforms, such as ME, XP, 95, 98.

With many developers working on 2K or NT, how can we ensure that our pages 
work on the other Win platforms?

Has anybody generated a knowledge base of known differences, or things to 
look for? Maybe somebody has a personal Top 10 lists of things to be aware of?

I spent some time in google, but didn't find anything helpful. (It's a 
tough question to search for, because it returns platform bugs, not browser 
bug/platform.)
