Good Morning Evolters!

This is my first time asking for a site critique, and I'd like it
harsh and spicy please!
We are in the early stages of redesigning our website. The original,
4-year old design is at
www.rci-nv.com/
Our new design, what we have of it so far, is at
www.rci-nv.com/public/
an older version is at
www.rci-nv.com/public2/

The graphic designer and I have been working on the visual design over
the last couple of weeks, and we're at a stable point where we can ask
for comments. I'm looking for opinions on everything; the splash page,
the color scheme, the watermarked background, and (especially) the
navigation menus.
I'm also looking for browser checks and places where the layout or CSS
blows up. The site (as far as I've checked) is valid XHTML, with quite
a few CSS1 formatting tricks applied, especially in the menu. In
IE5+/Win and the latest Mozilla, it looks just like I want it to.
(Screenshot: www.rci-nv.com/public/mozshot.jpg - 110kb) I've used
@import to hide certain styles from NN4.7 so it looks good enough in
that browser. There's still a few problems there (display:block
hoohaws? I don't know) but nothing worth worrying about yet.
Now I'm wondering about other browsers and operating systems.
Especially Mac, since I have *no* access to one. Does it fall apart
anywhere that anyone can see?

Hit me with your best! We're still working on the design, so we're
ready and willing to take the pain.
Thanks everyone.
Scott
