[thelist] trojan

Hi

There was an article in Red Herring (sp) magazine a couple years back about
one of the back door trojans and how to get it out of Windows.

I currently use McAfee anti virus and there are parts of the program that
takes care of the trojans.

I recently used eSafe (sys crashes caused me to move - I think my install is
a touch off - not their product). They also have anti trojan built in.

And my firewall keeps stopping a backdoor. That is the Norton personal
firewall.

Summing up. Lots of products. Good stuff. McAfee is a demo of the pro - I
will purchase at the end of the trial period. eSafe desktop is a free
product. Norton is good stuff.

peace

ed
