Was one of these four programs "The Cleaner"?  If not then I do heartily
recommend you get it, if only for the 30 day trial http://www.moosoft.com/
as it is quite invaluable at detecting trojans that McAfee and Symantec
regularly miss.  You do need Generic Host Process, but you can set Zone
Alarm to block local servers from being accessed and do not give svchost
server rights either.
