[thelist] clarify standards organizations? (was Re: Why code forstandards)

Please tell me this. How many small businesses can afford
to employ someone full time to participate in making
standards? How many students have the time to participate?
I'm in Year 12 now, and I would definitely not have the
time to do something like that, and I'm doing less than
most people.

Once again, who else has the time to participate / money to
employ someone to participate? I'm just lgad that there are
big companies who care enough about it to employ people to
do just that. Even if they do only do it so they can have a
say.
