Hmm, i tried that with the strict DTD and it didn't make any
difference.  However, the other pages on the site seem to
almost be fine ... and they have a DTD with a URL!  I think
there must be something in the page which is combining with
the DTD.

Good thing that site is about to be extensively redone and
simplified... I'll know what to look out for!
