In my tests, using your sample code, it doesn't. Which leads me to ask a
few questions:

* Which version of Netscape 6 are you using (I tested using 6.2.1)

* Are these two tables nested within another table? Or within a div? If so,
it is possible that the space between them is interpreted as white space,
and rendered as such.

* "height" is proprietary attribute of the table element, not part of the
W3C HTML 4.01 recommendation, and thus somewhat risky to use. Netscape 6
seems to respect the value, but there are no guarantees.

If possible, please post the actual code (instead of a representative
sample), or, better yet, a link to the actual page in question.
