[thelist] Forms and CSS, cont'd.

It's not even been 24 hours since I posted my contact URL, and already two
people have sent messages to the effect of "how'd ya do that?"

'S'okay by me, 'cause I'm ordinarily lucky to get one message per week via
that form.

For those who want a simple way to get to the stylesheets I'm using, just
point your browser to:

http://www.io.com/persist1/styles/

They're all in one folder and there's no index page, so Apache just serves
up a file list. "Save Target As" will get those blurbs to your FDD.

Ditto with my 'scripts' folder, though there's only one file of
consequence for the site as a whole (presentation.js).

If anyone is wondering about the inline-pagination widget I've got running
on my site (which is entirely my own creation, inspired by but NOT in
any way borrowed from the code that John Weir wrote for iht.com), I should
warn you that the functions I've written aren't especially portable at
this point.

Further, IE5/Mac has some undocumented difficulties with DOM scripting,
which is why Mac users may encounter a suboptimal experience on my site.
I'm hoping to fix that (one way or another) on Monday or Tuesday.

If I'm really lucky, I'll have portable versions of those functions out
the door by the end of next week.

For those on this list who may not already know, there's a new (and
suddenly popular) CSS list, which can be subscribed-to at:

http://two.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/css-discuss

All traffic-volume caveats apply.

"Are you pondering what I'm pondering, Pinky?"
"I think so, Brain, but... (snort) no, no, it's too stupid."
"We will disguise ourselves as a cow."
"Oh!" (giggles) "That was it exactly!"
