[thelist] Cannot write CGI scripts on a Mac

3 questions/concerns:

1. does the cgi have the proper permissions to be executed on the server?
2. is it in a directory that allows CGI's to execute?
3. go check your apache error log.  chances are it's referring to CGI's that
aren't in the correct folder or you'll see the problem stated there.

Always check the logs.
