Would I be crazy to modify a Coldfusion 4.5 and SQL-Server e-
commerece application that utilized SQL-Server's support for
transactions to run on a Solaris platform with Coldfusion 5.0 and
PostgreSQL (I am thinking of Verio's Solaris VPS). Does anyone have
any experience with PostgreSQL and it's support for transactions?

Would it be better to give up on the security transactions provide and
think about using MySQL instead?

We are only talking about 10,000 to 12,000 orders.

TIA

Faust"At the Ashland house, where I had charge for twelve
years, four barmen in spotless white, wearing
carnations in their lapels, were ranged in their
appointed stations behind the long, highly polished
bar. When a customer approached, a little napkin
of Irish linen was placed on the counter in front
of him. A gleaming glass, suitable for the drink he
ordered, was set before him, and the bartender then
 rapidly mixed his drink."
