[thelist] js: onMouseDown() vs onClick()

Some browers / versions don't trigger the onclick event in the right place,
if at all.

For sites that use the onmousedown event to trigger something and stop the
browser before it goes on, this can be important.

I have read that the mouse handler onMouseDown() is a preferred method
than onClick(). Why ? Both are working fine here. Are there any obscure
reason one should take care of ?
